As some of you will know from my own collage images, I often channel a fairly surreal visual code (albeit very pop). Therefore, it won’t come as a big surprise that I love so many of the surrealists from the past, especially Dali and Man Ray. Most of you will be familiar with Man Ray as a photographer but in the earlier part of his career he was pursuing a creative path as a painter. He did of course continue experimenting with other art forms throughout his career but the main bulk of his paintings reside earlier on before he enchanted the world with his photographic works. I thought it would be nice to share some of these paintings here.
